This work package deals with development of climate adapted and verified solutions for roofs, walls and floors that minimize heat loss and reduce the need for cooling to ensure low CO2 emissions. Concepts and solutions for transparent facades, window technologies and solar shading are central research areas. Aspects related to integration of active elements (e.g. photovoltaics) in the building envelope are also essential to the work package.
